Prince Caspian

I went to a midnight showing of Prince Caspian last night--let me tell you it was fantastic!

The accents of the Telmarines kind of bugged me but I can deal with it. There was a bit of tweaking with the plot but the most important bits were left unchanged.

Personally I think this is a better movie than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

They had just the perfect balance for the religious connotations too--it was subtle enough that you don't have to acknowledge it if you don't want to but for those who look it is there.

Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy all did fantastically. All of them have grown up a little. Peter has lost a lot of his childish looks, and Edmund's voice was obviously changing. Lucy is a little taller and has lost some of the babyfat in her cheeks, and Susan has a more womanly figure. Not that these things are anything the movie producers or directors could really influence but they certainly did a great job in picking the actors.

My first thought at the end was "I want to see that again" and the second was "When does Voyage of the Dawn Treader come out?".

A wonderful movie! I don't even mind being really tired as a result of coming home around 3 am.

And now I want to re-read the books but I unfortunately don't have my books. I believe the Sinclairs still have my set.

Saw it today with Mom - awesome! Though there were itty bitty things about it that bothered me a bit (playing the angsty teen card feels kinda trite to me) but overall a great (though long) movie.
I loved the accents, by the way.
"No...He's a pirate."

I love the movie too! And I agree, it was better than LWW (which is hard to beat). The only part I'd like to change would be when they summoned the Witch. I loved the ice thing they did, but I missed the room going dark and the werewolf being killed half-way through his transformation.

I hope the movie did very well in the box office so that there will be interest in making the rest of the movies.
